Ziua Internațională a Radiologiei (IDoR) este un eveniment anual de promovare a rolului imagisticii medicale în domeniul asistenței medicale moderne. Este sărbătorită la data de 8 noiembrie a fiecărui an, și coincide cu aniversarea a descoperirii razelor X. A fost introdusa pentru prima dată în 2012, ca o inițiativă comună, de catre Societatea Europeana de Radiologie (RES), Societatea Radiologica din America de Nord (RSNA), si Colegiul American de Radiologie (ACR).
La 8 noiembrie 1895 Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen a descoperit razele X, punând efectiv bazele noii discipline medicale de radiologie. Ziua Internațională de Radiologie este un succesor al Zilei Europene de Radiologie, care a fost lansata în 2011. Ziua europeană de Radiologie a avut loc la 10 februarie 2011 pentru a comemora aniversarea morții lui Röntgen. Ziua europeană a fost organizată de către ESR, care a intrat ulterior în cooperare cu RSNA și ACR pentru a stabili Ziua Internațională de Radiologie.
08 noiembrie este Ziua Internațională de Radiologie și în acest an este dedicata imagisticii sanului si rolului esențial pe care îl joacă în radiologie depistarea, diagnosticarea și managementul bolilor de san.
Inițiativa este, prin urmare, de asemenea, susținută de Societatea Europeana de san Imaging (EUSOBI) si Societatea de Breast Imaging (SBI). Ambele organizații vor participa activ la diverse activități IDoR pentru a ajuta la semnificația noastra de specialitate în domeniul asistenței medicale de san.
Implicarea radioprotecției și campaniile EuroSafe Imaging Image reflecta un alt obiectiv-cheie de întelepciune al organizatorilor, adică sensibilizarea cu privire la necesitatea folosirii dozelor de radiații adecvate în imagistica medicală.
Anul trecut mai mult de 140 societăți profesionale de radiologie din întreaga lume au sărbătorit Ziua Internațională de Radiologie și în acest an sperăm să vedem chiar mai mult aderarea la aceasta inițiativa și aducând chiar mai mult elan in promovare . Încă o dată, Societatea Europeană de Radiologie a creat o carte minunata pentru a onora Ziua Internațională de Radiologie (IDoR). "Screening-ul & Beyond" oferă o imagine de ansamblu uimitoare a imaginilor de san, cu contributii de la multe dintre radiologi de san de top din lume.
ESR a efectuat, de asemenea, interviuri cu experți în imagini de san din șaptesprezece țări europene, precum și cu specialiști din Australia, America Latină, Africa de Sud și Statele Unite ale Americii, oferind o imagine de ansamblu a status quo-ului de screening si tratamente in aceste regiuni.
The International Day of Radiology (IDoR) is an annual event promoting the role of medical imaging in modern healthcare. It is celebrated on November 8 each year, and coincides with the anniversary of the discovery of x-rays. It was first introduced in 2012, as a joint initiative, by the European Society of Radiology (ESR), the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), and the American College of Radiology (ACR).[1]
On November 8, 1895 Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen discovered X-rays, effectively laying the foundation for the new medical discipline of radiology. [2] The International Day of Radiology is a successor to the European Day of Radiology which was launched in 2011. The first and only European Day of Radiology was held on February 10, 2011 to commemorate the anniversary of Röntgen's death. The European day was organised by the ESR, who later entered into cooperation with the RSNA and the ACR to establish the International Day of Radiology.
November 8 is the International Day of Radiology and this year the day is dedicated to breast imaging and the essential role that radiology plays in the detection, diagnosis and management of diseases of the breast.
The initiative is therefore also supported by the European Society of Breast Imaging (EUSOBI) and the Society of Breast Imaging (SBI). Both organisations will actively participate in various IDoR activities to help stress the significance of our specialty in breast healthcare.
The involvement of the radiation protection campaigns EuroSafe Imaging and Image Wisely reflects another key objective of the organisers, i.e. to raise awareness of the necessity of using appropriate radiation doses in medical imaging.
Last year more than 140 radiology-related professional societies from around the world celebrated the International Day of Radiology and this year we hope to see even more joining the initiative and bringing even more momentum to this already fast-growing movement.Participating societies will hold a range of different events to celebrate the day, which you will be able to find on the activities page. Once again, the European Society of Radiology has created a wonderful book to honour the International Day of Radiology (IDoR). ‘Screening & Beyond’ provides an amazing overview of breast imaging, with contributions from many of the world’s top breast radiologists.
The ESR has also conducted interviews with experts in breast imaging from seventeen European countries, and with specialists from Australia, Latin America, South Africa and the United States, providing an overview of the status quo of screening and treatments in these regions.
